On 21 June 2018, 78 current and former Eagles came together for the annual alumni meal. It was a great opportunity for Eagles old and new to share stories, successes and advice and to find out about the various ways that they can stay involved and support the programme. On the evening, we were joined by alumni from past cohorts of Eagles, right up to people currently on the programme, and we were very pleased to also be joined by the ING 2018-19 Eagles who are due to start the placements in September.
The celebratory get together was held at Mumbai Square restaurant in Aldgate East, and was a very happy and relaxed event.
If you are a past Eagle, we’d love for you to stay in touch with us, and to continue to be involved. There are a number of ways in which you can support the programme and there are also plenty of professional development opportunities you can benefit from.
How can you support the Eagles programme
- Mentoring an new eagle (there is free training provided for people who are interested in this, so it is a great way to gain new skills)
- Helping with University roadshows and careers fairs
- CareerShare (a new forum we are developing where Eagles can ask each other for career advice)
And as a thank you…
Some of the companies who have provided Eagles placements over the years are offering free tickets to events, exhibitions and productions they sponsor, including a Somerset House Summer gig, the Rodin exhibition at the British Museum, exhibitions at the Design Museum and a private Art Tour of the Deutsche Bank collection. Many thanks to Charles Russell Speechlys, ING, Deutsche Bank and Beazley for their generosity.
If you’d like to stay in touch and support the programme, or register to attend one of these great, free events, please email [email protected].
